On September 6, 2012 I was appointed on the advice of the Right Honourable Stephen Harper, Prime Minister of Canada, to represent Nova Scotia in the Senate of Canada.

I am grateful for the opportunity to represent Nova Scotia on a National platform, and look forward to bringing your concerns to Ottawa. The Senate is a place where long term thinking can be done, regional concerns can be advanced, and policy can be carefully scrutinized. Here, you will find information about my activity in the Senate Chamber as well as my work in committee. Through this site, I hope to keep Canadians up to date on my activity on Parliament Hill and back home in Nova Scotia.

I welcome your feedback and suggestions as I undertake my duties in the Senate of Canada. We are the inheritors of a prosperous country with limitless potential. Please do not hesitate to contact my office should you have any questions or concerns. Together we can build a stronger Nova Scotia and ensure that Canada’s future remains bright.

Warmest regards,

Senator Thomas McInnis
